0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Wheldon! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Haidual looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Haidual is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Haidual looks for a takedown but Wheldon sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haidual feints and as Wheldon raises his hands in defense, Haidual changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Haidual stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wheldon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wheldon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Haidual is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
