Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sir Tessin (ranked 6712 p4p, 6618 weight class) and Hank Rufkin (ranked 484 p4p, 477 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sir Tessin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hank Rufkin! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tessin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rufkin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Rufkin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tessin. Tessin throws a front kick that sends Rufkin stumbling back into the cage. Tessin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Tessin tries to clinch up and Tessin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tessin fails in his attempt to clinch. Rufkin looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tessin pulls Rufkin in close to prevent any damage. Rufkin stopping the sweep attempt from Tessin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rufkin forces his way into half guard. Tessin wants to get back to his feet.
Rufkin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rufkin not doing much here.
Rufkin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tessin keeps working. Rufkin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tessin sees it coming and defends easily. Tessin is looking for a sweep. Rufkin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Tessin looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tessin wants to improve his position but Rufkin is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rufkin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tessin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Rufkin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Tessin tries to get to full guard but Rufkin has control of the leg. Rufkin controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tessin trying to control here.
Rufkin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tessin keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rufkin is thwarting Tessin's attempts to control the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Tessin drives through and clinches with Rufkin against the cage.
Rufkin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Tessin misses with a punch to the body.
Tessin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sir Tessin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rufkin lands a nice shot to the body. Tessin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tessin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rufkin.
Rufkin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tessin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rufkin trying to control the action but Tessin is working from the bottom. Tessin is trying to get back to half guard. Tessin is working hard here to advance position. Rufkin tries to move to full mount but Tessin actually manages to regain half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tessin wants to control but Rufkin is keeping busy and won't allow it. Rufkin trying to control the action but Tessin is working from the bottom. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Hank Rufkin will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Rufkin throws a jab when Tessin was well out of range. Rufkin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tessin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rufkin drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Tessin defends it well. Tessin moves in looking to clinch but Rufkin pushes him off. Nice sprawl there from Rufkin as Tessin shoots in. A momentary lapse in concentration from Tessin enables Rufkin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tessin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Tessin is looking to stand back up but Rufkin counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Tessin. Rufkin is keen to just control but Tessin is a slippery customer. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tessin is holding on to half guard well. Tessin is trying to get back to full guard. Rufkin wants to control but Tessin is keeping him busy.

Rufkin prevents Tessin from improving his position. Rufkin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Tessin moves into full guard.
Tessin controls Rufkin momentarily but Rufkin frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tessin managing to control the position. Rufkin throws a big right hand that misses. Tessin is trying to keep Rufkin in close.
Rufkin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rufkin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Tessin struggling a bit here. Tessin trying to remain calm as Rufkin controls from the top position.

You can see the frustration on Tessin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rufkin working the ground and pound but Tessin is defending the strikes. Tessin tries to bench press Rufkin off him but Rufkin keeps the position. Tessin is trying to control Rufkin's posture but Rufkin avoids it. Rufkin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rufkin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tessin keeps working. Tessin struggling a bit here.

Rufkin in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Tessin is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
