Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Rose (ranked 5303 p4p, 4996 weight class) and Ben Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 584 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adrian Rose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ben Whyte! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rose misses with a two punch combination.
Whyte misses with a wild body shot. Whyte shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rose napping and manages to drive through into side control! Whyte passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rose! Rose is controlling an arm, preventing Whyte from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Rose keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Whyte throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Rose knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Whyte on the ground. Rose is looking to improve his position but Whyte isn't that keen on the idea. Whyte punching from mount but Rose doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rose can't escape the position.
Whyte tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Whyte looking to control but Rose is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. BOOM! Whyte connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whyte landing strikes from the mount and Rose is in trouble! Whyte lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rose is trying to reverse the position but instead Whyte has taken his back - oops! Whyte looking for the choke but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Rose's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Rose is trapped and Whyte is scoring with shots to the head and body. Oooh a big shot gets through from Whyte. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Whyte patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Whyte wants to control but Rose is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whyte not allowing Rose to control his hands. Rose can't escape the position.

Whyte working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Good control from Whyte. Rose can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rose tries to break free.
Whyte is not going to allow Rose to sit and survive in this position. Whyte looking for the RNC. Whyte is looking for the choke from the back position but Rose is controlling his hands well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rose is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Whyte.
Whyte lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Whyte.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Whyte dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Rose dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Whyte throws a sloppy head kick and Rose moves out of range easily. Whyte drops his hands momentarily and Rose takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Whyte takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A lazy left from Rose finds it's target. Rose lands with a nice body punch. Rose lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rose connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Rose fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Whyte keeps the fight on the outside. Whyte looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Whyte is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Whyte takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rose slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Rose digs a good hook to Whyte's body.
Rose connects with a jab.
Whyte is rocked! Whyte on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Whyte is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rose cracks Whyte with an uppercut from hell and Whyte crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Rose's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Whyte is still in real trouble! Can Rose finish him? Rose has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Whyte can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rose controls the pace. Rose trying to control but Whyte is working from the bottom. Rose wants to pass the guard but Whyte is keeping the position. Whyte seems to have recovered his senses. Ben Whyte has got the better of the ground game so far. Whyte throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Whyte is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Rose trying to control but Whyte is working from the bottom. Whyte is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Rose digs a good hook to Whyte's body.
Adrian Rose is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Whyte walks into a left hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rose tries to close the distance and clinch but Whyte swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Whyte is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Rose lands a jab.
It looks like Ben Whyte has been cut. Rose scores with a jab to the body. Adrian Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rose scores with a hook to the body. Whyte takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Rose scores with a punch to the head. Rose is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Whyte like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Whyte from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adrian Rose! In his post fight interview, Adrian Rose started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. The defeated Ben Whyte had this to say: 'Sorry guys, got to rewatch that fight, not sure what went wrong. '.
