Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Akihiro Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mart Mono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mono has chosen Roots rock Reggae as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Akihiro Aoki has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akihiro Aoki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mart Mono! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aoki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mono moves away. Mono looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Aoki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mono tries to avoid it but Aoki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mono to the ground. Mono escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mono tries to clinch there but Aoki circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aoki shoots in but no luck this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mono tries to clinch but Aoki is having none of it. Aoki shoots for a double leg takedown but Mono sprawls well. He's pushed Aoki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akihiro Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Aoki drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Aoki works a leg free and moves into half guard. Mono is defending against the submission attempts here by Aoki.
Aoki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mono is just riding it out for now. Aoki eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mono looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aoki with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Aoki works his foot free and advances to mount. Aoki is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mono is surviving well by controlling Aoki's body position as best he can. Aoki working for a submission but Mono is keeping him at bay. Aoki can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mono is looking to escape. Mono is desperately trying to improve his position but Aoki has a good base and remains in mount. Aoki controlling from mount. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aoki wants to finish this one by submission but Mono is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Aoki. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aoki has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Mono is forced to tap!
