Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rakin Schmoe (ranked 25104 p4p, 5741 weight class) and Tyler Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmoe comes to the cage accompanied by Callum Scott - Dancing on My Own. Rakin Schmoe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rakin Schmoe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyler Michaels!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmoe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Michaels sprawls well. Michaels wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Schmoe gets slowly back to his feet.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Schmoe.

and Michaels counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Rakin Schmoe has been cut.

Schmoe closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Michaels's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Michaels manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schmoe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Michaels has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Schmoe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Schmoe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Michaels sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Schmoe somewhat.

Michaels is trying to drag Schmoe to the mat but Schmoe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Michaels ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Michaels no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Schmoe throws a strike but Michaels rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Schmoe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Michaels decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Michaels has closed the distance and engaged Schmoe in a clinch.
Schmoe tries to break free but Michaels pushes him back against the cage.

Michaels decides to pull guard.
Michaels looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schmoe is one step ahead there.
Michaels is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Michaels frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

It looks like Michaels might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Let's hope that Michaels has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Michaels has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Schmoe has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Michaels bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Schmoe's guard.

Michaels tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Michaels has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Michaels wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Schmoe, who protects the arm well.

Michaels is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Schmoe has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Schmoe is pushing Michaels's head away, looking to escape. Michaels manages to hold on to the position though.

Michaels decides to stand back up. Michaels steps back and let's Schmoe get back to his feet.

Michaels wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Michaels jumps guard and drags Schmoe to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Michaels is on top in guard.

Michaels is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tyler Michaels has got the better of the ground game so far.
Michaels throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Schmoe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Michaels working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Michaels drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Michaels jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well Michaels has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

During a confident post fight interview, Tyler Michaels thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Rakin Schmoe spoke after the fight, saying 'I lost. It’s fine. Losing gives you a chance to learn from your mistakes. I’ve fought plenty of warriors that have done enough to beat me, lost my rematch with The Axe, lost to the Uggy Boogy dude. But I promise, I will turn it up in the coming time. '.
