0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eusebio Silva! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Silva is looking to stand up but Coleman won't let him. Silva trying to control but Coleman is working from the bottom. Coleman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Coleman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Silva trying to control but Coleman is working from the bottom. Coleman really is a fat lump. Coleman is pulling down on Silva's head. It's preventing any offense from Silva, at least for the moment. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Silva shoots in for a double leg but Coleman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Coleman blocks a head kick by Silva.

Coleman wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Coleman. Coleman jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Silva is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Silva and Coleman has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silva scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Coleman doesn't seem bothered though. Excellent takedown into side control there by Coleman. Coleman is breathing heavily. Coleman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Silva has escaped the position, nice work there. Silva is trying to control Coleman's posture but Coleman avoids it. Coleman wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Silva tries to bench press Coleman off him but Coleman keeps the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Silva shoots and misses and Coleman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Coleman controlling from the top position. Coleman pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard. Silva is not content to let Coleman control the position. Silva is looking to control Coleman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted? Coleman is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Coleman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Coleman. Coleman is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Silva connects with a good right hand that stumbles Coleman. Coleman circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Silva throws a head kick but Coleman moves out of range.
Silva tries for a takedown but Coleman circles away easily and Coleman counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that. Ronnie Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eusebio Silva. Coleman sitting in guard, not really doing much. Coleman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Coleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coleman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Silva keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully. Coleman is going olschool here, as he tries to force Silva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Silva shrugs it off. Coleman is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Silva has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Silva! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Coleman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Coleman wants to control but Silva passes easily into half guard.
Ronnie Coleman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Coleman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Coleman trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.
Coleman keeps control of the position for the meantime.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Coleman. Coleman gets slowly back to his feet. Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown so Coleman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Coleman slips nicely into half guard. Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Silva is defending against the submission attempts here by Coleman.
Coleman is stalling here. Silva is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Coleman seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Silva has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where Coleman is right now. Silva trying to control the action but Coleman is working from the bottom. Coleman is looking to reverse the position. Coleman controls the position for a moment. Coleman struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Coleman gets back to half guard. Coleman is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Silva wants to free his trapped foot but Coleman is holding on for dear life with his legs. Coleman is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily. Coleman regains full guard. Nicely done. Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coleman is keeping the position for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Ronnie Coleman showed his dominance in that final round. I think Coleman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
