Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Owen Alvarez (ranked 1528 p4p, 1396 weight class) and Dennis Dalborg (ranked 228 p4p, 210 weight class). Dalborg has chosen Slipnot - Solway Firth as his entrance music. Dennis Dalborg will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Dalborg!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez tries to clinch but Dalborg is having none of it.

Alvarez pushes Dalborg up against the cage in a clinch.
Dalborg lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Alvarez backwards.

Alvarez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Alvarez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Alvarez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dalborg on his heels. He'll look to pass Dalborg's guard now, I'm sure.
Alvarez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dalborg swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alvarez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dalborg's head.

Alvarez postures up in Dalborg's guard and throws a big left but Dalborg blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alvarez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dalborg has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Alvarez but great work by Dalborg.

Dalborg throws a strike aimed at the side of Alvarez's head but Alvarez avoids it well.
Dalborg is looking to take a break and control but Alvarez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dalborg in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Dalborg throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Alvarez works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Dalborg thows an elbow strike that misses. Alvarez gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Dalborg doesn't seem too bothered but Alvarez quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Dalborg is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Dalborg really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.

A less than humble Owen Alvarez misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Dennis Dalborg was interviewed post fight and said 'You win lose, you some some.'.
