Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hunter Holmes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ganny Kogir!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Holmes keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Holmes misses with a double jab
and Kogir counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kogir throws a jab but it's blocked by Holmes.
Holmes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Holmes misses with a hook
and Kogir cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kogir on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Kogir works Holmes's body with a nice hook.
Holmes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Holmes misses with a leg kick
and Kogir counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holmes lands a big uppercut and Kogir crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kogir looks OK. Holmes waves Kogir back to his feet!
Kogir is rocked!
Holmes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Holmes misses with a right hand
and Kogir counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Holmes gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Kogir gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ganny Kogir!
