Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Sierron (ranked 4689 p4p, 5504 weight class) and Snake Johnson (ranked 549 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen The Struggle as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Sierron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Snake Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Topper Green and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sierron to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Johnson wants to sweep but no luck.

Sierron has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Johnson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Sierron is on him like a limpet, forcing Johnson back against the cage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Sierron keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sierron tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sierron is just content to waste time from the top position. Johnson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Sierron is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sierron is fighting to break Johnson's control of his arms but Johnson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Sierron clinches with his opponent.
Sierron is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around?
Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Johnson looks to throw the jab but Sierron is out of range.
Sierron dives in and scores a takedown into Johnson's guard.
Johnson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sierron dives into side control.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Tony Sierron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Poor strikes thrown by Sierron there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Sierron jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Johnson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Johnson and Sierron has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Johnson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Sierron throws a low kick but Johnson moves out of range easily.
Johnson shoots in but no luck this time.

Sierron throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sierron is in Johnson's guard.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Johnson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sierron puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Sierron is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sierron won't be happy with that.
Johnson is trying to move to mount but Sierron reverses beautifully and ends up in Johnson's guard.

Sierron feinted with a counter takedown.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sierron's waist but Sierron gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Sierron shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Johnson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tony Sierron.
Well Sierron has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
