Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Dean (ranked 5742 p4p, 5404 weight class) and Thorin Oakenshield (ranked 671 p4p, 637 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thorin Oakenshield!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oakenshield shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Dean wants to get back to his feet.
Dean is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Oakenshield scores with a couple of nice shots.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Oakenshield working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Dean on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dean tries to get out of the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oakenshield is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Dean looks calm but he's in trouble here. Oakenshield gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Dean is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Oakenshield lets go of the hold and Dean can pop his arm back in it's socket.
