The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPunchist moves in looking to clinch but Kent pushes him off.
McPunchist works the jab nicely.
Kent dives in for a single leg takedown but McPunchist sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
McPunchist swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
McPunchist throws a head punch that misses.
Kent drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McPunchist gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A left hand lands to the body for McPunchist.
A hook to the body from McPunchist.
Kent is breathing heavily.
McPunchist gets underhooks to prevent Kent's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clark Kent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McPunchist lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kent backwards.
McPunchist digs a right hand into Kent's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kent's gas tank.
McPunchist scores with a shoulder strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McPunchist presses Kent against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Still in the clinch, McPunchist scores with a nice short uppercut.
McPunchist lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
McPunchist lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McPunchist lands a body punch in the clinch.
McPunchist has a couple of punches blocked by Kent.
McPunchist throws a punch but it's blocked by Kent.
McPunchist misses with a punch on the inside.
McPunchist creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Kent with a big uppercut! Kent tries to clinch up but McPunchist pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Kent to the mat! Kent covers up and McPunchist unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
