Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Victor Petrovich (ranked 5205 p4p, 5550 weight class) and Samuel Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 525 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Victor Petrovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Jefferson!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson just misses with a punch to the body.
Jefferson shoots in but no luck this time.
Petrovich appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Jefferson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Petrovich did well to prevent Jefferson getting side control.
Jefferson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Petrovich keeps working.

Jefferson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Petrovich has managed to free his arm - good work.
Petrovich is not content to let Jefferson control the position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Petrovich is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Jefferson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Petrovich is squirming around, avoiding Jefferson's attempts to control the action.

Petrovich is looking to improve his position but Jefferson isn't that keen on the idea.

Jefferson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Petrovich is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jefferson shoots in looking for a takedown but Petrovich manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jefferson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jefferson shoots for a double leg takedown but Petrovich sprawls well. He's pushed Jefferson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Petrovich seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Jefferson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Petrovich knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jefferson on the ground.

Jefferson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jefferson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

It looked like Petrovich wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jefferson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Petrovich connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jefferson scrambles back to his feet.
Jefferson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Victor Petrovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Jefferson.
Petrovich lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jefferson dives in for a single leg takedown but Petrovich sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
