Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Twist (ranked 6707 p4p, 6352 weight class) and Robson Piddu (ranked 694 p4p, 671 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Twist! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robson Piddu! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Twist feints and then cracks Piddu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Piddu down. Twist looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Twist takes a body punch but keeps moving. Twist throws a nice looking combination but Piddu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Twist shoots in but no luck this time. Twist takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Good shot there by Piddu. Piddu connects with a nice looking jab.
Twist ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Piddu moves away. Piddu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Piddu circles away from the clinch attempt and Piddu counters with a stiff right hand. Twist rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Piddu moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Twist goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Piddu throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Robson Piddu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Twist shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Twist trying to control the position from guard on top but Piddu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Twist distracts Piddu with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Twist wants to control from the top but Piddu keeps moving. Twist wants to stand but Piddu is controlling his posture from full guard. Twist postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Twist throws an elbow that misses. Piddu uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Twist's guard. Nice move by Piddu! Twist looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Twist keeping moving, preventing Piddu from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Piddu forces his way into half guard. Twist is trying to control but can't.
Piddu trying to control from half guard but Twist is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Piddu trying to mount his opponent but Twist defends it. Twist is looking for a sweep. Piddu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Piddu seems to be looking for submissions.
Twist wants to get back to full guard but Piddu has mounted him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piddu quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Piddu but it's paid off an Twist is forced to tap! Nice work by Piddu.
