Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Atlas Thanopoulos (ranked 7005 p4p, 6495 weight class) and Theon Ryan (ranked 753 p4p, 723 weight class). Thanopoulos comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - 'Till I Collapse. Atlas Thanopoulos is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Theon Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thanopoulos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ryan throws a leg kick that is checked

and Thanopoulos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ryan won't be happy with that.

Ryan bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Ryan clinches up with Thanopoulos and pushes him back against the cage.

Ryan breaks the clinch.
Ryan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thanopoulos dives in and grabs Ryan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ryan pushes down on Thanopoulos's head and hops out.
Thanopoulos closes the distance and clinches up with Ryan, looking for a takedown. Thanopoulos pushes Ryan against the cage but Ryan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It seemed like Ryan was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ryan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Thanopoulos sprawling to the canvas! Thanopoulos rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ryan finish him?!

Thanopoulos is rocked!

It looks like Atlas Thanopoulos has been cut.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Ryan! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Theon Ryan!
An out of breath Theon Ryan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Atlas Thanopoulos spoke after the fight, saying 'A huge thanks to all the fans out there, and to my coaches! You guys are the reason I'm here.'.
