The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Algiorno avoids a punch combination nicely.
Petrov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Algiorno circles away quickly and effectively.
Algiorno throws a big counter combination but Petrov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Petrov tries to keep at a distance but Algiorno has taken the fight into the clinch.

Petrov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Algiorno moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Petrov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Petrov shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Algiorno eats them both and turns towards Petrov to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Algiorno thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Petrov if he has to take too many more of those.
Petrov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Algiorno.

Petrov lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Algiorno backwards.
Algiorno tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Petrov avoids it.
