Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devin Russell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akio Kurosaki!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kurosaki in his tracks.
Russell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kurosaki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Russell won't be happy with that.
Kurosaki is working to tighten his grip on Russell's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Russell has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kurosaki is really squeezing tight and eventually Russell passes out! Kurosaki breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
