Schlesien has chosen Arm & Tepr - Tu Sais as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Huber Schlesien!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abner slips a straight right by Schlesien.
Abner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Schlesien looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Abner slips under a jab from Schlesien.
Abner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Abner throws a right hand that Schlesien ducks under and follows up with a left that Schlesien also avoids with ease.
Abner throws a nice head kick!
Schlesien tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Abner jabs Schlesien to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Abner misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schlesien throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Abner. Schlesien does a little dance to reset his feet.
As Abner backs off Schlesien throws a huge counter combo but Abner manages to avoid it all.
Abner throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A slow jab from Schlesien misses its intended target.

Nice uppercut lands for Abner. That snapped Schlesien's head back.
Abner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Schlesien misses the jab.
Abner scores with a push kick.
Abner checks a leg kick nicely.
Schlesien just misses with a punch to the body.
A left lands for Abner.
Abner throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Abner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Schlesien.
Abner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Uncle Abner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schlesien takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Abner scores with a jab to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abner misses with a wild combination.
Abner scores with a head kick. Schlesien tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Schlesien throws a shot to the body.
Abner with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Schlesien to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Uncle Abner has been cut.

and Abner takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Abner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Schlesien throws a jab when Abner was well out of range.
It looked like Abner was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Abner dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Abner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Schlesien was well out of range. Poor timing from Abner.
Schlesien showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Abner.
Schlesien lands with an uppercut that bounces Abner off the cage and back into range.
Schlesien swings for the body but Abner moves out of range.
Schlesien lands with a good body shot.
Abner looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Abner is breathing heavily.

Abner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Abner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Abner swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Schlesien ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Abner gets tackled into the cage by Schlesien. Schlesien maintains the clinch.

Schlesien manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Schlesien had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Abner defends it easily.

Schlesien pushes a forearm under Abner's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Abner is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Huber Schlesien!
A less than humble Huber Schlesien misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
