These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erran Morad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 13 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Rutherford!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morad throws a looping overhand right but Rutherford ducks down to avoid it.

We've been hearing reports that Morad has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Morad shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rutherford but Rutherford pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rutherford is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Morad is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rutherford sees it coming and defends easily.
Morad seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Morad lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Morad takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Morad is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Rutherford on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Morad is nestled in close to Rutherford, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Morad is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rutherford can do to turn this around?

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Morad lands a nice short elbow.
Morad lands a big elbow - Rutherford is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Morad!

Erran Morad decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
