Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Kimber (ranked 1759 p4p, 6749 weight class) and JJ Moss (ranked 246 p4p, 728 weight class). JJ Moss has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Kimber! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, JJ Moss! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moss throws a body shot but no joy. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kimber checks a leg kick. Moss throws a lazy right hand but Kimber sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kimber closes the distance and clinches up with Moss, looking for a takedown. Kimber pushes Moss against the cage but Moss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Moss tries to counter with a clinch but Kimber shakes him off and moves away. Moss checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Kimber looks to land a left hand but Moss moved out of range nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moss. Kimber tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Moss manages to circle out of the way. Moss looks for a takedown but Kimber sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moss ducks under a wild hook from Kimber. Kimber looking to score a takedown here. Moss is defending well but Kimber drives through and ends up in Moss's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kimber drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Moss manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kimber has Moss in his guard. Moss postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Moss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Moss trying to control but Kimber is working from the bottom. Kimber has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Kimber is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moss trying to control the position from guard on top but Kimber is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Moss got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kimber has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Moss has managed to get both his arms back between Kimber's legs - danger averted. Kimber keeping moving, preventing Moss from controlling successfully. Moss passes easily into side control. Kimber is not content to let Moss control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moss thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. You can see the frustration on Kimber's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kimber is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Moss is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kimber sees it coming and defends easily. Moss is thwarting Kimber's attempts to control the position. Kimber is looking to regain full guard. JJ Moss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Kimber shoots for a takedown but Moss saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Moss manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kimber on his heels. He'll look to pass Kimber's guard now, I'm sure. Moss loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kimber trying to keep a closed guard but Moss is proving a slippery customer.

He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Moss is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
