Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Russel!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mandyson throws a hook but Russel blocks it.
Mandyson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mandyson throws a right hand that Russel ducks under and follows up with a left that Russel also avoids with ease.
A slow jab from Mandyson misses its intended target.
Mandyson tries a head kick but it misses.
No joy there for Mandyson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Russel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Russel wants to control from the top but Mandyson keeps moving.
Mandyson trying to keep a closed guard but Russel is proving a slippery customer.

Mandyson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Russel wants to pass the guard but Mandyson is keeping the position.

Mandyson has his foot on Russel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Russel works his way back into a safe position though.

Mandyson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Russel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mandyson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Russel's back instead.
Russel tries to escape but Mandyson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Russel is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Russel tries for a takedown but Mandyson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Mandyson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Russel looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mandyson!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mandyson pushes Russel off looking to stand but Russel dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mandyson is staying active underneath Russel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mandyson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Russel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mandyson misses with a few strikes there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but James Russel will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

I would just about give that final round to James Russel.
