Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Nolan (ranked 6455 p4p, 4561 weight class) and Dougie McFistface (ranked 0 p4p, 553 weight class). Dougie McFistface is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dylan Nolan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dougie McFistface! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Hugh Johnson and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. McFistface misses with a takedown attempt and Nolan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Nolan lands an overhand right. Nolan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. McFistface with a lazy takedown attempt and Nolan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nolan fails to land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nolan scores with a jab to the head.
Donk. Nolan catches McFistface right on the button with a cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nolan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It seemed like McFistface was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Nolan scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. McFistface avoids the body shot from Nolan.
And McFistface tries to counter it with a takedown but Nolan pushes his down on his head and steps out. Nolan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Nolan with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McFistface looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Nolan pushes McFistface off and gets back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McFistface goes for a double leg but Nolan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nolan continues to drive forward. Dylan Nolan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dougie McFistface. Nolan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Nolan throws a series of punches but McFistface avoids them all with ease. McFistface drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Nolan defends it well. Nolan lands a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nolan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Nolan is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. The crowd cheers as Nolan lands an impressive looking overhand right. McFistface doesn't seem phased though. Nolan scores with a one two! McFistface had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. McFistface walks into a jab. Nolan lands a jab to McFistface's midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McFistface tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nolan defends well and McFistface ends up having to push Nolan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. McFistface shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McFistface showed some decent athleticism there. This has been an exciting period of action! McFistface is working for a submission of some sort.
McFistface is working for a kimura but Nolan is defending it quite comfortably.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McFistface connects with a nice short shot to Nolan's temple. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dylan Nolan dominated that round. That's time! Nolan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. McFistface shoots in for a takedown but Nolan shows good takedown defense. Nolan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McFistface can do to turn this around? McFistface fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nolan avoids it really well and circles away. A quick step to the side and Nolan tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Nolan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nolan throws a body punch but McFistface moves out of range. McFistface wants to counter with a clinch but Nolan pushes him away. Nolan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McFistface manages to avoid it. McFistface steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Nolan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nolan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nolan. Nolan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McFistface. Nolan swings and misses with a shot to the body and McFistface counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McFistface. Nolan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Nolan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Nolan tries to circle away but McFistface has him pinned against the cage. McFistface jumps guard but Nolan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Dylan Nolan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dougie McFistface. Nolan tries to circle away but McFistface has him pinned against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nolan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. McFistface wants the takedown. Nolan is fighting it off but McFistface persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nolan's guard against the cage. McFistface pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nolan is keeping the position for now. Nolan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Nolan is trying to keep McFistface in close.
Nolan looking to hit a scissor sweep but McFistface is one step ahead there. McFistface slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that McFistface has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. McFistface throws a big right hand that misses. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Nolan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nolan is looking to wear down McFistface with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Nolan drives through and clinches with McFistface against the cage.
Nolan can't break the clinch.
Nolan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. McFistface tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nolan smiles and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nolan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Nolan misses with a wild body shot. McFistface with the counter takedown but Nolan avoids it easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nolan misses with a two punch combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dylan Nolan dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Nolan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Dylan Nolan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McFistface closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McFistface lands in his opponent's guard. McFistface forces his way into half guard. Nolan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McFistface is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McFistface looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. McFistface lands with a punch from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nolan trying to hold on to McFistface's head to control him but McFistface postures up.
Nolan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McFistface is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. McFistface is keen to just control but Nolan is a slippery customer. McFistface prevents Nolan from improving his position. McFistface is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nolan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McFistface.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McFistface prevents Nolan from improving his position. McFistface sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nolan defending well though. McFistface is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nolan has managed to free his arm - good work. McFistface missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nolan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but McFistface scores with a couple of nice shots. Nolan is looking to escape. McFistface trying to mount his opponent but Nolan defends it. Nolan looks like he's trying to stand up.

McFistface sitting in guard, not really doing much. Dougie McFistface has got the better of the ground game so far. McFistface drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. McFistface seems to have locked his on tight now - Nolan screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for McFistface, as he picks up the win!
