The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawkins scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Jammer is trying to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Jammer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jammer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hawkins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Check out the look on Hawkins's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jammer prevents Hawkins from moving into mount.
Hawkins takes a little break here. Jammer wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Hawkins connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jammer some visible discomfort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hawkins is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Jammer regains half guard there - taking advantage of Hawkins's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hawkins thows a huge punch but Jammer dodges it nicely.
Hawkins is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Hawkins takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jammer tries to kick Hawkins off but Hawkins keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Hawkins wants to pass the guard but Jammer is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jammer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hawkins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hawkins's back!
