Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dylan Sydal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dick Hickock!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickock stuns Sydal with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
We've been told by Sydal's head coaches at Walter J Abramowitz Center for Bigness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sydal clinches with his opponent.
Hickock jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sydal walks away with a smile on his face. Hickock gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hickock jabs Sydal right on the nose. Sydal blinks but takes it well.
Hickock lands with a shot to the body.
Sydal looking to score a takedown here. Hickock is defending well but Sydal drives through and ends up in Hickock's guard.
Hickock is looking to cinch up a triangle. Sydal throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hickock's body to avoid the submission. Hickock has instead reached around Sydal's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hickock arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dick Hickock!
