Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leo Kong (ranked 4882 p4p, 5232 weight class) and Yarik Trottsky (ranked 499 p4p, 528 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leo Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yarik Trottsky!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trottsky stuffs the takedown attempt from Kong. Kong gets slowly back to his feet.

Trottsky scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Kong manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Kong tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Trottsky defends well and Kong ends up having to push Trottsky into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Trottsky changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Kong stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Trottsky is looking to take this one to the mat.
Our sources have told us that Kong has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Kong has Trottsky pressed against the cage, preventing Trottsky from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Trottsky tries to pull guard but Kong forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kong lands an elbow inside that Trottsky shrugs off.
Kong creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Trottsky's defenses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Trottsky goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kong prevents it.
Leo Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yarik Trottsky.

Trottsky has a couple of punches blocked by Kong.
Trottsky jumps guard but Kong stands there with Trottsky around his waist. Trottsky gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Trottsky tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Nice elbow from Kong.

Kong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kong ducks under a wild hook from Trottsky.
Kong tries to clinch up but Trottsky circles away and keeps his distance.
Trottsky is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Trottsky closes the distance and clinches up with Kong, looking for a takedown. Trottsky pushes Kong against the cage but Kong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Trottsky displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kong.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Trottsky just misses with a punch to the body.

Kong has taken the fight to the clinch.
Trottsky tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Kong with a knee to the head.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Kong.
Trottsky takes an elbow to the temple.
Trottsky fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Trottsky tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kong smiles and moves away.
Kong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kong tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Trottsky paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kong is looking to clinch but Trottsky is avoiding it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Trottsky. Kong does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kong is looking to clinch.
Trottsky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kong moves away.

Kong has Trottsky up against the cage in a clinch.

Trottsky turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Trottsky is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kong knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kong is pushing Trottsky's head away, looking to escape. Trottsky manages to hold on to the position though.
Trottsky advances to mount.
Trottsky punishing his opponent with strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kong keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A nice elbow there by Trottsky.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kong throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Kong is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Kong really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Trottsky working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kong turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Trottsky off and cradles Kong's limp body as Trottsky celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Yarik Trottsky!
