Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Punchy McPunchist! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benny Rogers! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers fails in his attempt to clinch. Rogers has a takedown stuffed. Rogers shoots in for a double leg but McPunchist sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. McPunchist is looking to counter punch. Rogers drives through and clinches with McPunchist against the cage.
Rogers is trying to push McPunchist away but McPunchist has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. McPunchist throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. McPunchist lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
It looks like Benny Rogers has been cut. McPunchist lands an uppercut. Rogers tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Punchy McPunchist has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benny Rogers. McPunchist lands an uppercut. Rogers fails to pull guard.
McPunchist lands a shoulder strike. McPunchist lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rogers backwards. Rogers looks winded! A quick uppercut on the inside from McPunchist. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McPunchist works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
McPunchist throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rogerss head. McPunchist lands a shoulder strike. McPunchist lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rogers backwards. McPunchist lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. McPunchist makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. McPunchist working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Rogers is rocked! McPunchist lands with a light punch inside. Rogers is still on wobbly legs! Can McPunchist finish him?
That has opened up Benny Rogers's cut even more. McPunchist creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Rogers's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Rogers drops to his knees and McPunchist pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Punchy McPunchist! Punchy McPunchist was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
