Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Briet Neer (ranked 5431 p4p, 6240 weight class) and Winston Templevalley (ranked 534 p4p, 601 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Briet Neer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Winston Templevalley!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Templevalley misses with a series of wild punches.
Neer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Templevalley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Neer somewhat.
Templevalley misses with a two punch combination.
Templevalley fails to land with a series of punches.
Neer has been working on his balance at Briet’s Fight Club, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Templevalley.
Templevalley misses with a double jab

and Neer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Neer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Templevalley's head.
Neer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Templevalley swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Templevalley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Templevalley is looking to stand up but Neer isn't so interested in that idea.

Neer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Neer tries to free his leg and advance position but Templevalley is retaining full guard.

Neer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neer looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Neer is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Templevalley reverses the position - he's now on top in Neer's guard.

Neer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Templevalley defends well.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Neer is on top in guard.

Templevalley is looking to stand up but Neer isn't so interested in that idea.

Neer is pushing down on Templevalley's leg trying to pass to half guard. Templevalley is fighting to maintain full guard but Neer has managed to sneak the leg through.

Templevalley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Neer is working away from the top position though.

Neer is working for a kimura but Templevalley is defending it quite comfortably.

Neer seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Neer is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Templevalley sees it coming and defends easily.

Templevalley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Templevalley wants to stand up but Neer is controlling him.

Neer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Neer connects with a nice short shot to Templevalley's temple.

Neer goes for an armbar but Templevalley turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Templevalley.
Neer doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Templevalley wants to control from the top but Neer keeps moving.

Neer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Templevalley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Templevalley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Briet Neer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Neer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Briet Neer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neer seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Templevalley wants to control but Neer is keeping busy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neer wants to work for an arm triangle but Templevalley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Neer uses his free foot to push down on Templevalley's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Templevalley.
Templevalley tries to reverse the position but Neer maintains control.
Neer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Templevalley's face.

and Neer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Templevalley tries to break free but Neer pushes him back against the cage.

Templevalley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neer keeping moving, preventing Templevalley from controlling successfully.

Neer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Templevalley trying to control the position from guard on top but Neer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neer lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

Templevalley is posturing up here but Neer has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Templevalley tries to roll out but it's too tight and Templevalley has to tap! Slick submission there by Neer!

Briet Neer spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
