The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Halloween instigates a clinch.
Goncalves gets control of Halloween's arms and successfully pulls guard. Goncalves will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Goncalves escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Halloween gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Halloween wants to control from the top but Goncalves keeps moving.

Halloween is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Goncalves is just riding it out for now. Halloween eventually gives up the hold.
Halloween wants to work for an arm triangle but Goncalves is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
