Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dixon Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Funaki Fujiwara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fujiwara has chosen T.N.T. by Tonedeff as his entrance music. Dixon Cox could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Funaki Fujiwara's chin.

5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Funaki Fujiwara! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fujiwara moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
It looks like Dixon Cox has been cut. Cox looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Cox works a leg free and moves into half guard. Fujiwara wants to improve his position but Cox is controlling well.
Fujiwara moves into full guard.
Cox stopping the sweep attempt from Fujiwara. Fujiwara looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cox advances to half guard. Fujiwara is in trouble now - Cox has advanced to mount! Fujiwara is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cox jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Fujiwara manages to avoid the submission attempt. Fujiwara manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cox's best efforts. Fujiwara is defending against the submission attempts here by Cox.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cox is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cox is breathing heavily. Fujiwara is pressing down on Cox's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Fujiwara looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cox tries to free his leg and advance position but Fujiwara is retaining full guard. Cox won't allow Fujiwara to sweep him here. Fujiwara looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Fujiwara is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Cox looking for submissions off his back. Fujiwara is looking for a kimura here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cox tries to roll over but Fujiwara keeps him under control. Cox on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Cox tries to get to full guard but Fujiwara has control of the leg. Fujiwara is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Fujiwara scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Cox is trying to get back to full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cox tries for a takedown but Fujiwara sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fujiwara moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fujiwara has Cox up against the cage in a clinch.
Fujiwara escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fujiwara fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cox sprawls well initially but Fujiwara persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cox wants to get back to full guard. Fujiwara moves into full mount! Cox won't be happy about that! Cox is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fujiwara lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Cox is trying to escape the mount.
Fujiwara wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Fujiwara is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fujiwara takes Cox's back. Fujiwara has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Cox! Can he survive? No! He's out! Fujiwara gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
