Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Shelby (ranked 6621 p4p, 4247 weight class) and Fausto Jr Carsara (ranked 736 p4p, 554 weight class). Shelby comes to the cage accompanied by Red Right Hand. Fausto Jr Carsara will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Shelby. Those never looked like landing.
Shelby misses with a two punch combination.
Shelby tries to bum rush Carsara with a series of wild strikes but Carsara uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And Carsara tries to counter it with a takedown but Shelby pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Shelby throws a right and a left that both miss.
Carsara lands a left and a right that send Shelby crashing to the mat, dazed. Carsara thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

And Carsara tries to counter it with a takedown but Shelby pushes his down on his head and steps out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carsara shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shelby but Shelby pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Shelby's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thomas Shelby.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shelby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
