Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurupt Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saopish Burdala!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burdala clinches up with Williams and pushes him back against the cage.
Burdala displaying some good clinch control by pressing Williams up against the cage.
Williams tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Burdala jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Williams walks away with a smile on his face. Burdala gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Burdala fails with a takedown attempt.
Williams feinted with a counter takedown.
Burdala misses with a low kick.
Kurupt Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burdala darts in trying to clinch

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Burdala is trying to keep Williams in close.
Burdala looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there.

Burdala is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burdala on the ground.

Burdala is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Williams can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Burdala tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Poor strikes thrown by Burdala there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Williams is looking to improve his position but Burdala isn't that keen on the idea.
Burdala has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Burdala wants to control the pace but Williams is squirming around nicely.
Burdala lands a couple of good shots and Williams has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Burdala uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Williams.
Burdala dives in for a single leg takedown but Williams sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Williams is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Burdala.
Burdala misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Burdala has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Burdala shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Burdala gets slowly back to his feet.
Kurupt Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saopish Burdala.
Burdala throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Williams sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Williams leaves Burdala with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Burdala pulls Williams in close to prevent any damage.
Williams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Williams lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Burdala is trying to keep Williams in close.
Williams is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Williams throws a big right hand that misses.

Williams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burdala has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Williams has managed to get both his arms back between Burdala's legs - danger averted.
Williams not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Burdala wants to get back to his feet but Williams is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Williams wants to pass the guard but Burdala is keeping the position.

Burdala is trying to keep Williams in close.
Williams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Burdala's head.
Williams connects with a couple of short punches.
Williams scoring with some ground and pound.

Burdala working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Williams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Burdala is breathing heavily.
Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Burdala is retaining full guard.
Williams postures up in Burdala's guard and throws a big left but Burdala blocks it.

Williams distracts Burdala with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Williams postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Burdala covers up, he's hurt! Williams keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Williams and the ref steps in to end the fight! Williams can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kurupt Williams!
A very excited looking Kurupt Williams made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
