Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pat Risher (ranked 3970 p4p, 6133 weight class) and Oliver Schultz (ranked 360 p4p, 456 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pat Risher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oliver Schultz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Risher fails with an attempt to clinch.
Risher misses with a left hand
and Schultz counters with a stiff right hand.

Risher moves into range and clinches up with Schultz.
Schultz is trying to push Risher away but Risher has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Risher goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Schultz wants to break the clinch but can't.
Risher takes a shot to the head.
Schultz throws a head punch that misses.

Schultz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Risher avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice shot by Risher.
Risher tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Schultz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A little jabbing left from Schultz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schultz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Risher thuds a left hand into Schultz's body.
Risher uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Schultz.
A looping hook to the body misses from Schultz. Risher does a little dance to reset his feet.
Schultz loads up on a big right hand but Risher slips the punch.

It looked like Risher wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Schultz throws a lazy right hand but Risher sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Schultz cracks Risher with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Risher looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Risher fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schultz, pushing him back against the cage.
Schultz is trying to break the clinch but Risher is controlling him.
Schultz has a couple of punches blocked by Risher.
Risher lands a hook that snaps the head of Schultz backwards.
Schultz tries to work over Risher's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Risher blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Schultz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Risher misses with an uppercut
and Schultz counters with an outside leg kick.
Schultz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Risher.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Risher throws a looping overhand right but Schultz ducks down to avoid it.
A little jabbing left from Schultz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Risher moves away from the strike by Schultz.
Schultz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Risher on the side of the head.
Risher blocks a jab.
Schultz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Risher.
Schultz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Risher connects with a body shot that sends Schultz's belly button to the back.
Risher defending well as Schultz loads up on a big left hand.
Risher takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Risher throws a jab when Schultz was well out of range.
A little jabbing left from Schultz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Risher seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Risher scores with a nice right hand.
Schultz on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Risher lands a right hook to the body.
Risher is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Risher ducks under a wild hook from Schultz.

A little feinted left hand from Risher on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Schultz now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Risher instigates a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Risher.
Risher blocks a body shot from Schultz.
Risher lands a nice uppercut.

Schultz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Risher goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Risher lands a body shot.
Schultz connects with a single shot there.
Schultz slips a straight right by Risher.
Risher has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Schultz finds it's way round the side to connect with Risher's head.
Schultz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Risher.
Risher throws a shot from downtown. Schultz moves away and avoids it.
Risher throws a hook to the side of Schultz's head but Schultz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A slow jab from Risher misses its intended target.
Risher swings widly with a right hand
and Schultz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Risher jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Schultz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Risher.
Risher moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Risher tries to bum rush Schultz with a series of wild strikes but Schultz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Schultz fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pat Risher will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Schultz swings wildly with an uppercut but Risher uses good head movement to avoid it.
A nice left hand lands by Schultz.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Schultz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Risher to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Schultz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Risher pulls down on the head and he's put Schultz to sleep! This one is all over!
