Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brad Banks (ranked 5117 p4p, 5045 weight class) and Capn Cook (ranked 615 p4p, 605 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brad Banks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Capn Cook! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banks is looking for a kimura here.
Banks is thwarting Cook's attempts to control the position. Cook manages to get to full guard.
Banks with a flurry of punches that miss. Cook working for a triangle but Banks defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Banks trying to control the position from guard on top but Cook is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cook is trying to control the position but Banks postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks has gone for a leg lock! Cook slips out almost immediately though and dives into Banks's guard. Cook pushing down on Banks's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Cook not doing much here.
Banks is pressing down on Cook's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Banks looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Cook trying to control but Banks is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cook trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cook advances position into side control! Banks is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Cook thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Banks trying to remain calm as Cook controls from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cook is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Banks has escaped the position, nice work there. Banks can't do much from the bottom here. Banks tries to buck Cook off but Cook is having none of it. Banks tries to control but Cook manages to take his back. Cook looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Banks taps!
