Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Poirier (ranked 2330 p4p, 6168 weight class) and Adolf Hitler (ranked 238 p4p, 456 weight class). Hitler has chosen Russian Dancing Men as his entrance music. Adolf Hitler struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Dominick Poirier looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dominick Poirier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Adolf Hitler! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hitler throws a leg kick but Poirier sees it coming and moves out of range. Poirier looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Hitler throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Poirier counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hitler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hitler is staying active underneath Poirier, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Poirier prevents Hitler from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Poirier takes a shot right to the bread basket. Hitler ducks under a wild hook from Poirier. Hitler throws a head kick but Poirier moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hitler lands with a good body shot. Hitler leaves Poirier with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hitler wants to counter the offense by Poirier and move into the clinch position. Poirier walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hitler. Hitler wants to slow Poirier down by chopping away at his legs. Hitler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Hitler throws a body kick that misses and Poirier counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hitler looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hitler felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Poirier seems to be working for a kimura but Hitler defends the submission attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hitler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hitler thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Poirier if he has to take too many more of those.
Hitler throws a lazy head kick so Poirier counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hitler wants to stand and escape but Poirier is having none of it. Poirier might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poirier lands a couple of elbows. Hitler wants to get back to his feet but Poirier is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Poirier gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hitler throws a head kick but Poirier moves out of range.
Poirier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hitler throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Poirier's head. Hitler looks to throw a body kick and Poirier counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Poirier. Hitler wants to get back to his feet but Poirier is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hitler is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Poirier has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Poirier looking to pass the guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Poirier avoids the head kick by Hitler.
Hitler delivers a nice body kick. Hitler throws a sloppy head kick and Poirier moves out of range easily. Some wild striking there from Poirier.
Hitler's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hitler duly obliges. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Adolf Hitler will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Poirier blocks a head kick by Hitler.

Poirier fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hitler sprawls well initially but Poirier persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Poirier prevents Hitler from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Poirier is trying to control the action in half guard but Hitler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Poirier is trying to work for a kimura but Hitler is defending well.

Poirier shoots in and bounces Hitler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hitler wants to stand up but Poirier is controlling him. Hitler wants to get back to his feet but Poirier passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hitler has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Poirier is on him like a limpet, forcing Hitler back against the cage. Poirier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Poirier takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Poirier looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hitler! This has been an exciting period of action! Hitler wants to get back to his feet but Poirier drags him back down. You can see the frustration on Hitler's face as Poirier controls the position. Poirier prevents Hitler from escaping the position. Poirier controls the position. Hitler wants to get back to his feet.

Poirier wants to control but Hitler is keeping him busy. Hitler is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hitler tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Poirier seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Hitler is covering up but some of the strikes from Poirier are getting through and doing damage.

He's almost out here... but no, Poirier gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Adolf Hitler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Poirier checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Poirier half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Dominick Poirier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hitler tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Poirier is able to avoid easily. Hitler misses with an attempted mid kick.

Adolf Hitler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hitler thumps Poirier with a low kick. Hitler throws a push kick but Poirier slaps the foot to one side. Poirier wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Poirier closes the distance and clinches. Hitler is trying to force a seperation but Poirier has the dominant position. Poirier tries to pull guard but Hitler holds him up against the cage and eventually Poirier drops back down to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poirier pulls guard. Hitler trying to stand up but can't free himself from Poirier's guard. Poirier looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hitler won't allow Poirier to sweep him here. Hitler wants to get up but he can't break Poirier's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Poirier looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Hitler with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hitler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hitler throws a solid leg kick but Poirier takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hitler. Poirier tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hitler manages to circle out of the way. Hitler scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Poirier doesn't seem bothered though. Hitler is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Poirier rather than just go for the knockout. Hitler throws a leg kick but Poirier checks it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hitler connects with a body shot. Hitler ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hitler fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Adolf Hitler. I think Hitler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
