The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giles slips under a jab.
Giles closes this distance looking for a takedown but Peace circles away.
Peace is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Peace throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Peace looks to land a right hand but Giles moved out of range.
Giles shoots in for a takedown but Peace shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Peace connects with a single shot there.

Peace throws a right and a left that both miss.
Peace has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Giles drops down looking for a counter takedown but Peace sprawls and moves away.

Giles fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Peace, pushing him back against the cage.
Giles has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Giles takes a shot to the head.

Giles has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Peace clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Giles somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Giles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Peace is covering up but some of the strikes from Giles are getting through and doing damage.
