Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joachin Svenson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svenson lands a front kick.
A swing and a miss from Svenson.

Barroso is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Svenson's half guard.
Barroso throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barroso is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Svenson is just riding it out for now. Barroso eventually gives up the hold.

Barroso is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barroso is looking for a kimura but Svenson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Barroso to get the leverage.

Svenson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Barroso has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Svenson makes his way to full guard, as Barroso worked for a kimura.

Barroso postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Svenson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Barroso, into his guard.

Svenson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Svenson is looking to stand up but Barroso won't let him.
Svenson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Svenson is posturing up here but Barroso has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Svenson tries to roll out but it's too tight and Svenson has to tap! Slick submission there by Barroso!
