Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wes Ekwall (ranked 3829 p4p, 5092 weight class) and James Shortman (ranked 131 p4p, 161 weight class). Wes Ekwall is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wes Ekwall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Shortman! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ekwall scores with a crisp jab that stopped Shortman in his tracks.
It looks like James Shortman has been cut. Shortman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ekwall avoids it really well and circles away. Ekwall dips to his left and cracks Shortman with an uppercut! Shortman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Shortman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ekwall.
Ekwall has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Shortman slips a jab and a cross from Ekwall.
Ekwall cracks Shortman with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Ekwall leaves Shortman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ekwall sends Shortman crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ekwall is motioning to the referee to let Shortman up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Horrible takedown attempt by Shortman or perhaps it was just good defense by Ekwall, which made it look bad. Wes Ekwall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Shortman. Ekwall lands a hook that stumbles Shortman back into the cage. Ekwall follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Shortman to the canvas! Ekwall pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Shortman has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Wes Ekwall! A very excited looking Wes Ekwall rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
