The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Man drives through and clinches with Jereny against the cage.
Man is trying to maintain a safe position but Jereny gets an underhook and turns Man into the cage.
Jereny tries for a takedown but Man manages to get underhooks.
Man pushes Jereny back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Man is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jereny to keep the fight standing.
Man tries to break the clinch but Jereny is controlling the position.
Man is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jereny pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Jereny breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Man could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Man shoots in looking for a takedown. Jereny tries to sprawl out of it but Man keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jereny manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jereny is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Man pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Jereny swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jereny drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Man defends it well.

Man on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jereny. Jereny obviously looking to wear him down.
Man tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Despite the aggression on Jereny's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Man misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Man tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jereny manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A little jabbing left from Jereny on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Jereny cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
John Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight stays on the outside here - Man looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jereny scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Man throws a right hand that Jereny ducks under and follows up with a left that Jereny also avoids with ease.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Man is trying to control Jereny's posture but Jereny avoids it.

Jereny felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Man wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jereny keeps working.

Man is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jereny is defending well though. Man let's go of the attempt for now.

Jereny manages to stand up with Man still on his back. Eventually Man drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
