Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hefty Ladd (ranked 4392 p4p, 3982 weight class) and Slava Genov (ranked 0 p4p, 138 weight class). Slava Genov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hefty Ladd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ladd shoots in looking for a takedown but Genov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ladd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Genov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ladd swivels and escapes.
A low kick lands for Ladd.
Ladd darts in looking for a takedown but Genov gets double underhooks and turns Ladd into the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Ladd is trying to pull guard but Genov turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ladd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Genov walks away with a smile on his face. Ladd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Genov takes a shot right to the bread basket.

and Genov counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Genov has eaten all the pies!
Genov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ladd as he jumps to the side.
Ladd manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Genov on his heels. He'll look to pass Genov's guard now, I'm sure.

Ladd stands up over Genov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Ladd is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Genov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Genov has escaped and now he's on top!
Ladd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Genov is one step ahead there.

Ladd has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That was a close round but I would say that Hefty Ladd will probably get the nod.

As Ladd backs off Genov throws a huge counter combo but Ladd manages to avoid it all.

Ladd tightens his grip and picks Genov up, before dumping him to the ground. Genov manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ladd scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Ladd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ladd wants to control from the top but Genov keeps moving.

Ladd cracks Genov with a solid left hand.

I would just about give that final round to Slava Genov.
Well Genov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
