Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Tanner (ranked 6125 p4p, 6344 weight class) and Ajay Dabeast (ranked 595 p4p, 612 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnny Tanner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ajay Dabeast! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dabeast tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dabeast ducks right into an uppercut from Tanner. Dabeast throws a head kick but Tanner moves out of range.
Tanner connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Tanner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dabeast pushes Tanner up against the cage in a clinch. Tanner leaning his opponent against the cage.
Dabeast lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tanner makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dabeast moves into range and clinches up with Tanner. Dabeast is struggling to control the position.
Dabeast jumps into guard, dragging Tanner to the mat.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tanner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tanner wants to control from the top but Dabeast keeps moving. Tanner is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dabeast is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Our spies down at at Cozad The Island inform us that Dabeast has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Tanner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dabeast pulls Tanner in close to prevent any damage.
Tanner drops back looking for a leg! Dabeast is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dabeast manages to kick Tanner off! Tanner jumps back into Dabeast's guard. Dabeast is trying to keep Tanner in close.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Tanner sitting in guard here, content to control. Dabeast wants to get back to his feet but Tanner is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dabeast with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tanner clinches up against the cage. The referee calls for Dabeast to work.
Tanner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dabeast avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tanner pressing his opponent against the cage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanner stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A knee to the head by Dabeast.
Tanner lands a hook that snaps the head of Dabeast backwards. The referee calls for Tanner to work.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Dabeast is looking to take this one to the mat.
Dabeast successfully pulls guard.
Dabeast trying to keep a closed guard but Tanner is proving a slippery customer.
Dabeast had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tanner defends it easily.

Tanner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Dabeast working a defensive guard here.
Tanner trying to control but Dabeast is working from the bottom. Tanner wants to pass the guard but Dabeast is keeping the position. Dabeast really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tanner landing with the ground and pound. Dabeast has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Tanner will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tanner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dabeast moves away. Dabeast unleashes a big counter combination but Tanner bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Dabeast takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Tanner connects with a single shot there.
Dabeast has managed to clinch.

Dabeast has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tanner uses from the top position. Dabeast lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dabeast drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tanner dives on top into guard.

Tanner drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dabeast looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dabeast looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dabeast!

Dabeast tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dabeast has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dabeast looks up at the clock and then as Tanner takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dabeast smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanner is not content to let Dabeast control the position. Dabeast has knee on belly and moves into mount. Dabeast trying to control but Tanner is having none of it. Dabeast landing strikes from the mount and Tanner is in trouble!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanner bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tanner with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tanner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dabeast working a defensive guard but Tanner manages to pass into side control anyway.

Tanner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Dabeast tries to improve position but can't. Dabeast is trying to control Tanner's posture but Tanner avoids it.

Tanner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dabeast is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dabeast is trying to get back to half guard. Tanner trying to control the action but Dabeast is working from the bottom. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Tanner will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Tanner gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Dabeast pulls Tanner in close to his closed guard and prevents Tanner from doing any damage or advancing position.
Tanner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dabeast has control of Tanner's left arm, preventing Tanner from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanner won't allow Dabeast to sweep him here. Tanner trying to control the position from guard on top but Dabeast is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dabeast not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dabeast tries to roll over but Tanner keeps him under control. Dabeast is concentrating on defense, preventing Tanner from advancing position. Tanner wants to control but Dabeast is keeping him busy.

 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Dabeast darts in and clinches Tanner up against the cage. Dabeast jumps guard but Tanner stands there with Dabeast around his waist. Dabeast gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dabeast lands with a light punch inside. Tanner trying to control the position but instead, Dabeast has worked for underhooks and has pushed Tanner into the cage.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Dabeast scores with a knee to the head.
Dabeast is struggling to control the position. Tanner is looking to control Dabeast's arms but Dabeast gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tanner has his back to the cage. Johnny Tanner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Dabeast pulls guard effortlessly. Dabeast looking for a sweep. Not yet Dabeast, not yet.
Dabeast has his foot on Tanner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tanner works his way back into a safe position though. Tanner trying to control but Dabeast is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ajay Dabeast has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Ajay Dabeast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Tanner has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
