Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaxon Riley (ranked 6020 p4p, 5921 weight class) and Jon Snitch (ranked 647 p4p, 0 weight class). Snitch has chosen I Wanna Rock as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jaxon Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 30 - 32 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snitch! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Snitch shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Riley napping and manages to drive through into side control! Riley being controlled for a moment. Riley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Snitch wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snitch controlling the position from side mount.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Snitch loads up on a big right hand but Riley slips the punch. Snitch defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Riley. Riley lands a jab. Snitch dives in for a single leg takedown but Riley sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Riley appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Snitch fails with a takedown attempt. Riley attempts a counter takedown but Snitch avoids it well and moves away. Snitch tries for a takedown but Riley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jaxon Riley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Snitch. Riley instigates a clinch. Snitch changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Riley fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A jab lands there for Riley. Snitch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Riley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Snitch somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snitch uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Snitch lands a lovely overhand right. Riley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Snitch defends well and Riley ends up having to push Snitch into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Riley tries to circle away but Snitch has him pinned against the cage. Riley wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Riley is trying to break free. Riley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Snitch is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Riley. Snitch shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Riley pinned against the cage. Riley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley has taken the fight to the clinch.
Riley is trying to force a seperation but Snitch has the dominant position. Snitch keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Riley's efforts to push away. Riley breaks the clinch.
Riley blocks a jab. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Riley shoots in for a takedown but Snitch shows good takedown defense. Snitch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Snitch advances to full mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jon Snitch will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Snitch closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Snitch gets to mount! Riley was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Snitch controlling from the full mount. Snitch postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Riley looks a forlorn figure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snitch sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Snitch prevents Riley from getting the reversal. Snitch controlling from mount. Snitch lands a big elbow. Snitch controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snitch lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Riley hang on? Snitch tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jon Snitch has got the better of the ground game so far. Snitch unloading with bombs!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snitch controlling his opponent. Snitch's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Let's hope that Snitch has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Snitch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Riley is desperately trying to improve his position but Snitch has a good base and remains in mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Snitch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Riley thows a left - swing and a miss! Riley takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Riley looks to land a right hand but Snitch moved out of range. Snitch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Riley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Snitch somewhat. Riley looks for a takedown but Snitch sprawls well. Riley throws a jab but it's blocked by Snitch. Snitch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Riley as he jumps to the side. Jaxon Riley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Snitch. Riley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Snitch moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snitch swats away the attempt to clinch by Riley. Snitch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Riley sprawls well. Riley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Snitch gets slowly back to his feet. Riley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. And Snitch tries to counter it with a takedown but Riley pushes his down on his head and steps out. Riley looks to land a right hand but Snitch moved out of range. Riley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jon Snitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Riley fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jon Snitch is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snitch in side control, just content to control the action for now. Yet more stalling tactics from Snitch. Jaxon Riley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Riley drops his hands momentarily and Snitch takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Nice uppercut there from Snitch. Riley wants to clinch up but Snitch keeps it at a distance. Riley misses with an uppercut. Snitch saw that one coming. Riley shoots and misses enabling Snitch to counter with a crisp jab. Riley is looking to clinch. Riley forces Snitch back against the cage and clinches. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Snitch has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Riley regains guard immediately. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Snitch controls the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Snitch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Snitch winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
