Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lue Randle (ranked 4121 p4p, 5507 weight class) and Cranjis Mcbasketball (ranked 526 p4p, 623 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lue Randle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cranjis Mcbasketball! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Randle as he connects with a hook. Mcbasketball uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Randle. Mcbasketball is looking for the big counter here. Randle forces Mcbasketball back against the cage and clinches. A head punch on the inside from Mcbasketball fails to land. Mcbasketball swings wildly with an uppercut but Randle uses good head movement to avoid it. Still in the clinch, Mcbasketball scores with a nice short uppercut. Randle is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mcbasketball can't fight it off and eventually Randle manages to take the fight to the floor. Mcbasketball looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mcbasketball is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mcbasketball keeping full guard, as Randle tries to pass. Randle landing some decent shots from guard. Randle with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Mcbasketball has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Randle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Randle's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Randle connects with a couple of short punches. Randle wants to control from the top but Mcbasketball keeps moving. Randle postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Mcbasketball throws his legs up looking for a submission but Randle uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Randle working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Mcbasketball tries to bench press Randle off him but Randle keeps the position. Randle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcbasketball keeps working. Randle tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mcbasketball takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcbasketball is looking to regain half guard here but Randle keeps moving and retains side control. Randle is looking to take a break and control but Mcbasketball is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mcbasketball tries to buck Randle off but Randle is having none of it. Randle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcbasketball keeps working. Randle has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Randle lands a decent elbow from side control. Mcbasketball wants to control but Randle postures up. Randle is looking to take a break and control but Mcbasketball is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Randle landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Randle creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Mcbasketball takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Randle is chipping away with strikes.
Mcbasketball sneaks back into half guard. Randle working over Mcbasketball with some ground and pound. Mcbasketball looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Randle lands with a punch from half guard.
Mcbasketball is rocked! Mcbasketball is trying to maintain the position but Randle is very close to passing his half guard. Mcbasketball actively working from the bottom here. Mcbasketball looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Randle seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Nice strikes from Randle there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcbasketball has hold of Randle's hands but Randle slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mcbasketball is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Randle scores with a couple of nice shots. Mcbasketball is still in real trouble! Can Randle finish him? Randle lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Mcbasketball quite badly. Mcbasketball pulls Randle in close trying to recover. Randle postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Mcbasketball on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Mcbasketball doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lue Randle! Lue Randle seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
