Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carcarlo Pravettoni (ranked 2970 p4p, 4745 weight class) and Chad Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pravettoni kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I NANI. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carcarlo Pravettoni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Armstrong! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong takes the fight into the clinch. Armstrong taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Armstrong. Pravettoni has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Armstrong is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Pravettoni tries to pull guard but Armstrong forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Pravettoni pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Armstrong throws a sloppy body shot
and Armstrong takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Armstrong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carcarlo Pravettoni. That's going to take a lot out of him. Armstrong throws a shot from downtown. Pravettoni moves away and avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pravettoni looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Armstrong is fending him off so far but Pravettoni persists. Nope, Armstrong circles away and we're back to standing. Pravettoni on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Pravettoni throws a body kick despite being completely out of range enabling Armstrong to counter with a crisp jab. Pravettoni tries to keep at a distance but Armstrong has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pravettoni shoots in but no luck this time. Pravettoni tries for a takedown but Armstrong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pravettoni. Armstrong clinches up against the cage. Pravettoni fails to pull guard.
Armstrong throws a knee to the head but misses.
Armstrong blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pravettoni is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Armstrong is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pravettoni jumps guard but Armstrong stands there with Pravettoni around his waist. Pravettoni gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Armstrong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pravettoni is defended easily by Armstrong. Pravettoni is breathing heavily. Armstrong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pravettoni, pushing him back against the cage. Armstrong is pushing Pravettoni up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Pravettoni jumps guard and drags Armstrong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pravettoni looking to control.
Armstrong controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Armstrong in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Armstrong stands up from Pravettoni's guard - Armstrong perhaps looking for a knockout. Armstrong jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. No luck for Pravettoni with that takedown attempt. Armstrong is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pravettoni with a body shot. Armstrong just misses with a punch to the body.
Armstrong feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pravettonis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Pravettoni misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Pravettoni doesn't succeed with the takedown and Armstrong moves into the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Armstrong displaying some good clinch control by pressing Pravettoni up against the cage. Armstrong throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pravettoni blocks it with crossed arms. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Armstrong dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Pravettoni misses with a takedown attempt and Armstrong moves into the clinch. Armstrong lands a shot to the body. Armstrong manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Pravettoni breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Armstrong misses with a double jab.
Pravettoni half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. A combination from Pravettoni does no damage. Pravettoni gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Armstrong crunches a lovely knee into Pravettoni's ribcage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Armstrong throws a knee to the head but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Armstrong rushes Pravettoni and presses him up against the cage. Chad Armstrong seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Armstrong lands a body shot in the clinch.
Armstrong tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Armstrong taking a breather. Armstrong lands a nice elbow. Armstrong gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pravettoni.
Armstrong stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Armstrong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong lands a glancing blow to the side of Pravettoni's head. A lazy body kick from Armstrong and Pravettoni counters with a series of strikes. Armstrong will be more careful next time no doubt. Armstrong throws a hook but Pravettoni blocks it. Chad Armstrong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pravettoni takes the fight into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Armstrong leaning against his opponent.
Pravettoni is trying to pull guard but Armstrong turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carcarlo Pravettoni. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pravettoni gets control of Armstrong's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pravettoni will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Pravettoni looking for a sweep. Not yet Pravettoni, not yet. Armstrong controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Armstrong's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pravettoni preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pravettoni might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pravettoni had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Armstrong defends it easily. Armstrong sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Armstrong lands a nice hook to Pravettoni's body. Pravettoni takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Armstrong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pravettoni manages to avoid it. Chad Armstrong seems to be getting the better of the standup. Armstrong throws a body punch but Pravettoni moves out of range. Armstrong gets in close and instigates a clinch. A knee to the head by Armstrong.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pravettoni avoiding damage as Armstrong throws knees to the body.
Armstrong has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Pravettoni manages to break the clinch.
Armstrong swings for the body but Pravettoni moves out of range.

Chad Armstrong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Pravettoni's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

No joy there for Armstrong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chad Armstrong is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Carcarlo Pravettoni is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Armstrong ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Pravettoni fails with a takedown attempt. Armstrong looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Carcarlo Pravettoni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Armstrong cracks a nice hook into Pravettoni's ribs. Pravettoni uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Armstrong. Pravettoni fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Pravettoni blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Armstrong breaks the clinch.
A shot to the liver by Armstrong. Beautiful body shot. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pravettoni fails with a takedown attempt. Carcarlo Pravettoni has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pravettoni gets tackled into the cage by Armstrong. Armstrong maintains the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Chad Armstrong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Armstrong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
