The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joly looks to throw the jab but Shalashaska is out of range.
Shalashaska tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Joly manages to circle out of the way.
Shalashaska moves in looking to clinch but Joly pushes him off.
Shalashaska seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Shalashaska takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A big right from Joly misses.
Joly cracks a nice hook into Shalashaska's ribs.

Shalashaska moves into the clinch successfully.

Shalashaska pulls guard effortlessly.
Joly postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Joly wants to control from the top but Shalashaska keeps moving.

Shalashaska has his feet on Joly's thighs here. He's pushed Joly off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Joly screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Adam Shalashaska started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
