Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Psion Phyrrus (ranked 2467 p4p, 2778 weight class) and Luke Garage (ranked 342 p4p, 384 weight class). Psion Phyrrus could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Luke Garage's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garage blocks a jab.
Garage slips a jab from Phyrrus.
Phyrrus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Garage.
Phyrrus ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Phyrrus misses with a jab to the body

so Garage counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Garage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phyrrus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Phyrrus isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Garage stacks Phyrrus on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Garage!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garage advances to mount.
Garage wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Phyrrus definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Garage working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Garage wants to control the pace but Phyrrus is squirming around nicely.
Phyrrus stops Garage from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Phyrrus working to try and regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garage is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Phyrrus is just riding it out for now. Garage eventually gives up the hold.

Garage looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Phyrrus actively working from the bottom here.

Garage is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Phyrrus doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Garage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Phyrrus moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Garage tries to free his leg and advance position but Phyrrus is retaining full guard.
Garage works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Phyrrus wants to get back to full guard.
Garage is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Phyrrus!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Garage swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Phyrrus is now in Garage's guard. A big mistake from Garage there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Phyrrus passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Luke Garage dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Garage swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

It looks like Luke Garage has been cut.
Phyrrus throws a big shot that misses.
Garage staying out of range there.
Garage sizes up Phyrrus with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Garage slips a straight right by Phyrrus.
Garage displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Phyrrus throws out the jab.
Garage throws a lazy right hand but Phyrrus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Phyrrus throws a hook but Garage blocks it.
And Garage tries to counter it with a takedown but Phyrrus pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Phyrrus misses the shot to the body.
Garage tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Garage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Phyrrus avoids it really well and circles away.
Phyrrus throws a hook to the side of Garage's head but Garage sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Garage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Phyrrus was well out of range. Poor timing from Garage.
Garage tries to close the distance and clinch but Phyrrus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Garage fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Phyrrus on the side of the head.

Garage is rocked!
Phyrrus throws a pinpoint strike between Garage's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Garage crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Phyrrus scores a great knockout victory!

Psion Phyrrus was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
