Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Ziskie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, New Home! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ziskie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Home closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ziskie blocks an uppercut.
Ziskie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Home tries to throw a body punch but Ziskie avoids it by throwing Home back against the cage. Home looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Home lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Ziskie has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Home after a bit of a struggle. Ziskie misses with some punches.
Ziskie jumps into guard, dragging Home to the mat.
Ziskie wants to sweep but no luck. Home decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ziskie, up you get! Ziskie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Home connects with the punch. Ziskie slips under a jab. Home misses with an uppercut. Ziskie saw that one coming. Home throws out a powerful jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Home throws a leg kick and Ziskie counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Home! Home pushes Ziskie away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ziskie gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Ziskie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Home has escaped the position, nice work there. Ziskie has knee on belly and moves into mount. Home avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ziskie.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ziskie looking for a guillotine from mount but Home is having none of it. Home wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Ziskie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Home manages to avoid the submission attempt. The referee asks Ziskie politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ziskie prefers to stall for the moment though. Ziskie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ziskie wants to control but Home is keeping him busy. Home is trying to buck Ziskie off. Ziskie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Home is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Home is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ziskie asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Home is wriggling around trying to escape but Ziskie has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Home taps out and Ziskie picks up the big win! Great work there by Ziskie!
