Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Envidia Mata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Immortal Saulnier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mata comes to the cage accompanied by Sinner by Drowning Pool. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saulnier misses with a takedown attempt - Mata sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Saulnier looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mata misses with a body kick.
Mata cracks the inside of Saulnier's front leg.
Mata throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Saulnier.

It looks like Immortal Saulnier has been cut.

Mata moves into range and clinches up with Saulnier.
Mata slows down the pace here.
Saulnier stops a takedown attempt from Mata.

Mata gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Still in half guard, Mata seems content to control.
Mata could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mata has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Saulnier takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Saulnier darts in trying to clinch
and Saulnier takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Saulnier tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Mata counters with a slapping leg kick.
Saulnier throws a head kick but Mata moves out of range.

Mata drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Saulnier keeping moving, preventing Mata from controlling successfully.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Saulnier will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Saulnier is working an open guard so Mata takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's time! Mata's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Mata takes a swing at Saulnier's ribcage but misses.

Mata rushes Saulnier and presses him up against the cage.

Mata breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mata throws a body punch but Saulnier moves out of range.

Mata darts in and clinches Saulnier up against the cage.
Mata landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Mata escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mata throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mata looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mata passes to side control.
Mata in side control lands a decent elbow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Saulnier is trying to improve his position.
Saulnier can't do much from the bottom here.

Mata stands up and beckons Saulnier to his feet.
Saulnier closes the distance but Mata moves to the side

and Mata counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Mata works his way into full mount!
Mata tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Mata seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Saulnier for as long as he can get away with.
Feeble punches landing from Saulnier - he's mounted - they can't hurt.
Saulnier is looking to improve his position but Mata isn't that keen on the idea.

Mata is landing with some decent strikes but Saulnier is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Mata looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Mata closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Saulnier wants to get back to full guard.
Saulnier trying to hold on to Mata's head to control him but Mata postures up.
Mata looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Saulnier is looking for a sweep. Mata is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Saulnier on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Mata works his way into side control.
Saulnier tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Saulnier can't do much from the bottom here.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Mata is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Saulnier can do to turn this around?
Saulnier throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mata looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Immortal Saulnier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mata looks up at the clock and then as Saulnier takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mata smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Mata has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Saulnier gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Saulnier tries to get to full guard but Mata has control of the leg.
Saulnier trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Mata breaks from Saulnier's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Saulnier is trying desperately to improve position.
Saulnier is trying to escape the mount but Mata keeps good control and instead manages to take Saulnier's back.
