The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tesla shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tesla showed some decent athleticism there.
Tesla thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ridgewood's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ridgewood wants to get back to his feet.

Tesla throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Ridgewood to regain full guard.
Ridgewood seems to have recovered his senses.

Tesla controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ridgewood wants to sweep here but Tesla controlling him for the moment.
Tesla has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tesla in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Tesla lands with a big right hook that stumbles Ridgewood - he's out on his feet here! Tesla follows up with another monster hook that separates Ridgewood from consciousness! Ridgewood falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Tesla stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
