Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Don Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pierre Ragout Mendy!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Barnes there.
Barnes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mendy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mendy tries to bum rush Barnes with a series of wild strikes but Barnes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Barnes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mendy moves away.
Mendy clinches up against the cage.
Barnes turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Barnes manages to end up in side control.
Barnes postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Mendy parries the strikes from Barnes easily there. Barnes is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mendy to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnes misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
