Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Furnum Pullum (ranked 1451 p4p, 4291 weight class) and Ralphie White (ranked 206 p4p, 553 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from White misses the target.
Pullum throwing a counter right hand but White manages to avoid it.

Pullum clinches up against the cage.
Pullum tries to throw a body punch but White avoids it by throwing Pullum back against the cage.
Pullum has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pullum.
Pullum tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. White smiles and moves away.

White looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pullum swivels though and keeps the full guard.
White wants to control from the top but Pullum keeps moving.

Pullum has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, White has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
White breaks Pullum's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Pullum is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and White defends well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

White throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pullum on the side of the head.

With the fighters up against the cage, White throws an elbow but misses.

Pullum swings wildly with an uppercut but White uses good head movement to avoid it.

White with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Pullum lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Pullum has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by White after a bit of a struggle.

Pullum has White pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pullum pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending White tumbling to the mat - Pullum dives into White's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

White felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

White has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pullum is working away from the top position though.
