Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Osama Akharraz!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Bagwis.
Bagwis avoids the head kick by Akharraz.
An attempted straight right counter from Bagwis misses the target.
Sloppy strikes from Akharraz. Those never looked like landing.
Bagwis went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Bagwis misses with a looping left.
No joy there for Akharraz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bagwis has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Good leg kick by Akharraz.
Akharraz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Akharraz scores with a jab. Bagwis acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Bagwis circles away from the clinch attempt
and Bagwis counters with a lovely shot to the body.

It looked like Bagwis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Akharraz doesn't manage to clinch there - Bagwis circles away.
Akharraz misses with a few strikes there.

Akharraz darts in and clinches Bagwis up against the cage.

Bagwis can't find room to land a body shot as Akharraz controls the action.
Akharraz throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Bagwis misses with a punch to the body.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Akharraz tries to work over Bagwis's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Bagwis lands a shot to the body.
Akharraz tries a body shot but Bagwis blocks it.
Bagwis presses Akharraz against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Bagwis misses with a punch on the inside.
Akharraz blocks an uppercut.
A right handed body shot lands from Bagwis.
Akharraz looks winded!
Bagwis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Akharrazs head.
Bagwis lands a left hand.
Bagwis cracks Akharraz with a nice body shot.

Bagwis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bagwis misses with an uppercut.
Bagwis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Akharraz's head.
Bagwis swats away the attempt to clinch by Akharraz.

Akharraz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Akharraz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Osama Akharraz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bagwis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Akharraz instigates a clinch.
Bagwis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Bagwis lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bagwis fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Akharraz throws a punch but it's blocked by Bagwis.
Bagwis misses with the head strike.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Akharraz.
Bagwis stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
A nice right hand lands inside from Bagwis.
Bagwis lands with a light punch inside.
Akharraz blocking some punches.
Bagwis pushes Akharraz back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Akharraz is rocked!
Bagwis lands a left hand.
Akharraz is still on wobbly legs! Can Bagwis finish him?
The referee calls for Bagwis to work.
Bagwis lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Akharraz to his knees! Bagwis keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

A pretty intense looking Huwan Bagwis took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
